Innovation, science, and new opportunities—all of this came together at the INSCIENCE Conference 2025, which took place on October 11–12 in Kyiv.
The conference was attended not only by Ukrainian scientists, but also by international stars of science. Among them were Barbara Oakley, a renowned researcher in the field of neuroscience, who spoke about the role of artificial intelligence in supporting resilience, and Mirjana Povic, an astrophysicist who shared her research in the field of cosmology and space laboratories.
What is special about INSCIENCE 2025?
ІNSCIENCE Conference is no longer just a place for scientists and researchers, but a platform for anyone who wants to learn how modern technologies can change the world. This year’s conference topics covered areas such as space technology, AI in medicine, STEM education for children, and women in science.
One of the most interesting topics was the use of space technology to support health and ensure the sustainability of our planet. For example, NASA shared new data on construction on the Moon and possible applications for international space stations.
How does the conference influence space technology in Ukraine?
From the very beginning, INSCIENCE has focused on promoting science, including space technology. Since the start of the war, Ukraine has not only strengthened its position in scientific research, but also actively supported space startups and initiatives. The INSCIENCE Conference provides an opportunity for scientists and businesspeople to exchange ideas for the development of new technologies that can be applied in real life.
As noted by Olena Skyrta, co-founder of INSCIENCE, this year’s conference “opens up new opportunities for space startups.” All these initiatives allow Ukraine not only to restore its position in the space industry, but also to become an important player on the international stage.
The role of STEM education and new formats for children
Science Kids, one of INSCIENCE’s projects, deserves a special mention. It allows children to gain in-depth knowledge of STEM education. This year, quest games were prepared for children at the conference, where each child could create their own world and planet using knowledge from scientific lectures. This is not only a lesson for students, but also the education of a new generation of scientists who are not afraid to ask questions and seek answers to them.
During the conference, special attention was paid to mental health. Lectures and workshops were held on this topic, demonstrating the importance of developing critical thinking in children and adults and working with psycho-emotional states through art therapy. INSCIENCE Conference 2025 showed that Ukraine can not only be part of global scientific initiatives, but also has a voice in the development of innovative technologies. Space technology, AI in medicine, STEM education — all of this opens up new horizons for our country. Technologies that seem like science fiction today are already beginning to change our future.
